Chemistry 1B. General principles of chemistry: Kinetics, equilibrium, acid-base equilibria, buffers, solubility equilibria, entropy and free energy, electro-chemistry, nuclear chemistry, coordination chemistry, and an introduction to organic chemistry

Courses Taught: Chemistry 101B.  Chem 101B is designed for science-oriented majors including biology, chemistry, engineering, and pre-professional health. Topics include kinetics; equilibrium; acids and bases; solubility; thermodynamics; electrochemistry; nuclear chemistry; properties of organic molecules; buffers, proteins, and compounds containing transition elements; organic chemistry; and coordination compounds. Theory and mathematical applications are emphasized
